Jeff Hanneman's Personal Guitars Acquired By Broken Hope's Jeremy Wagner

Jeremy Wagner bought Jeff Hanneman's guitars

Late Slayer's axeman and creative force Jeff Hanneman's guitar were acquired by Jeremy Wagner from Broken Hope, the latest Guitar World informs.

Jeff passed away in 2013 from liver failure and his widow Kathryn selected several of his guitars for auction, with proceeds benefitting the Wounded Warriors Project - one of Hanneman's favorite charities. In this collection is not included the legendary "Raiders/DK Jackson" guitar, as Jeremy pointed out; also missing from the auction were his Les Paul using during the 80's and the "Heineken/Hanneman" axes. Jeremy got to play them, though!

Commenting on a Blabbermouth article regarding this matter, Wagner has announced he's willing to do a "Hanneman Tribute Display" at the NAMM show or some other event that would include all of Jeff's guitars, amps, and personal effects of his that Wagner has purchased over the years.

One thing I want to do at some point is set up a "Hanneman Tribute Display" at the NAMM show or some other event that would include ALL of Jeff's guitars, amps, and personal effects of his that I have. - Jeremy Wagner

Broken Hope is currently in pre-production for its seventh, as-yet-unnamed studio album, due out for release in 2016.
